Mashujaa Day CelebrationKENYAN DIASPORA IN ITALY ENCOURAGED INVEST IN REAL ESTATE DURING THIS YEAR’S MASHUJAA DAY CELEBRATIONS.During this year’s Mashujaa day which was celebrated by Kenyans in Italy on 21st October 2012 at the Don Boscan Hall on Via Marsala, H.E. Amb. Josephine Gaita emphasized on the need for unity among the Kenyans living and working in Italy as well as the need to invest back home. The importance of investing in property was also underlined by the Ambassador as a sector which holds key with profitable long-term investments gains.
Will Kenyan government consider having a political representative in the parliament for diaspora community?Kenyans in diaspora are busy submitting survey for registration which will be used by IEBC to determined countries which qualifies to be polling centers. Reports indicates that there is no benchmark given by IEBC on the exact minimum number of diaspora population in a given place to be allocated a polling station.

Two saccos target Kenyans abroadKenyans in Diaspora US and UK have avail their first SACCOs' targeting to provide services to their diaspora community to on Savings and home remittance services. This has came at the time when Kenyans association in Italy have transformed their shares to be an Kenyan cultural center in Rome, which have so far undergone tough economic challenges.
